    St Andrew's Church, Backwell

I decided to try out my new Samyang 10mm lens and pottered up to our local church to try for an interior shot. I took an HDR sequence and I'm fairly pleased with it, but happy to hear any suggestions for improvement.

It's early days yet, but so far so good - the field of view takes a bit of getting used to though! The maker's claim of the lens being rectilinear seems to be borne out in practice, but you really have to watch your levels.

Good shot John with great detail all the way down the nave and minimal distortion

I have a Samyang 14mm which I bought for my Northern Lights trip, I loved it once I'd got over being scared of it! - so I know what a beast they are

Even more vast with the 10 rather than the 14- did you buy it for a specific purpose ?

Hi John, I missed your reference to a new 10mm Samyang lens, when I first responded to this thread. Which model of the lens did you go for?.

I’ve been tempted by their 14mm for Astrophotography but I keep putting off purchasing one.

I got fed up with not being to get the whole building in!

Peter - the lens is the 10mm f3.5 XP - you would certainly get a lot of sky in the frame!

Just echoing the other comments - great shot.
Maybe a specialist lens but there again could open up a whole new area of image making.
