I had difficulty deciding which forums section to post this, apologies if it is in the wrong section.
I have photographed this lump of machinery on previous visits to Madeira. However the area has been given a facelift to create a space for various events/entertainment opportunities. The facelift includes lighting and information signage.
1: Bent and rusted but it now has spotlights!
2: An information sign describing the original use of the pier and surrounding machinery. Note the red square I added to highlight the location of the rusty lump in 1 above.
