    Ancient and Modern

Another couple from the Cathedral where renovation work is being carried out; I just liked the scaffolding against the ancient stone work.
Not sure which one works best, I think I prefer the second one, although maybe the first one has more visual impact.

As always, all help, observations and comments gratefully received.

The scaffolding is masking the statue, in the first it's framing it, so no 1 for me.

Sorry Rose, the scaffolding doesn't work for me.

The lighting is better in no.2 but the scaffold masking the statue lets it down a bit.

            Which cathedral?

I agree, I think I like the overall effect on no.1 but the lighting in no.2!
Think it is one of those situations where the eye sees an image / effect that a camera just can't capture.

              It is Winchester.
