I was hoping to get a shot of Neowise ....

Just my luck it was cloudy the whole month .. except for this morning. No sign of the comet but it was still a beautiful morning.
Mars, Venus, Orion's belt, Uranus & the Pleiades all greeted me ...

I'd like to say "thanks" Colin, but I really can't take any credit for the clearness :) (But I know what you mean!)

Did I read recently that you might be coming to NZ next year?
Any thoughts on what area's you might be visiting?

Thanks also to Trev & Casa for commenting!

I like the shadow of you and the tripod ... it personalises the photo nicely.
This was my Neowise, with (for me) a recognisable roof and aerial.

Thanks Bikeman - that's a great shot and luckily I only have to wait another 6800 years to ...... never mind.

Not easy to get the comet tails and ion trails but good fun trying...well done!
my best shot was just the tail!
