    How long did you have to wait until he looked into the image?

    Have you tried it with a hint of colour in the Heron?

        Don't normally like mono wildlife images but this one is outstanding, works really well.

              Colin I waited at least 20 minutes for it to look into the frame, got one shot before it turned back again .
              I tried different ways full colour, colour popping, but I preferred the mono

                  That's the best way. Rather than just react to what is happening, imagine what would be the best picture possible under those circumstances and when (if) it happens, you are ready for it.

                    Nice piece of work. Tried to do something similar with Harlequin ducks when I was in Iceland but never managed to get something I was happy with.
