    Beach in B/W

This was taken on an evening stroll on the prom, I liked the shadows and texture and BW shows this better than colour does I think. This has been cropped slightly from the original and processed in LR CC

I’d be interested to hear comments and thoughts

I think its one of those shots that should work well graphically....with the frame diagonally halved with light and dark tones, a sweeping curve and the low sun providing long shadows....but to me it could do with a stronger focal point ... the crop has removed the top of the flagpoles which might have helped if included. Hope that's not too brutal Ian.

I wonder if you need all the foreground? If you crop off the bottom third such that the wall leads in from the bottom right corner it simplifies the picture and accentuates the curve of the wall and the corresponding line of posts.

For me the perspective is to high, and would work better with a lower one, the composition would work better if you used the wall to lead the viewer into the image. With the white sand on the bottom left corner, the eye is drawn to that part of the photo and there is nothing there that leads you further into the image.
