    The Harbour Master's Boat

A couple of fairly recent shots from my local harbour. These two boats belong to the harbour master and the harbour conservancy.

Excellent shots Nigel, I like the lighting. Not normally a fan of B&W but I do like these two.

Two superb shots Nigel, I am assuming these are IR shots - they work perfectly.

Nice. I like the perspective and the conversion

They are indeed. I'm a bit of an IR nut if truth be told...

Two excellent images Nigel. How do you convert to IR?

Your local harbour looks really nice.

I like both photos, well done.

These two were taken with my IR converted 1000D using a customised white balance (2000K and modified red/green & yellow/blue values IIRC) with the camera set to monochrome and -1 contrast. RAW file processed in DPP4 - mainly basic contrast and overall exposure corrections as required - then transferred to Photoshop for final fit and finish. Before I had a converted body I used a Hoya 720nm (R72) filter and then convert using a typical red/blue channel swap and B&|W adjustment layer in Photoshop.

                Thanks Colin
