    Fanal Forest Trees

Following on from my previous Landscape thread about this forest. I decided to try a B&W Conversion, whilst it isn't a genre that I would choose to utilise i did at the time of making the images think some of them may be worthy of a conversion.

As always your thoughts and comments welcomed.

    1. This image was used in my Landscape thread and it was suggested in that thread that it may suit mono conversion.

    2. When making the original image of 1 above, I thought this tree deserved to have an image of its own rather than it hiding amongst the surrounding trees.

They are even more ethereal in mono than they were in colour...

The Scary Tree is perhaps a touch on the dark side, might be worth lightening it to reveal some of the detail which seems to be getting a little lost. Definitely a worthy subject in it own right as you say.

Thanks for taking time to look and comment Nigel. I have reworked the scary tree to lift the darkness on the trunk. Thanks for your suggestion.

I really like these…works so well in mono..I prefer the mix of tones in the first …needs a mount and frame.

Well, I’m the odd man out here. Much prefer the colour versions,
