    The Needles at Sunset

    Bit of a mad dash to get this sunset last night, only just made it in time and it was very windy up there!
    This is a culmination of a couple of photos - I think it works ok but I now realise theres one hell of a lot for me to learn about landscape photography!

    Hi Stuart;

    Very pleasant... Nice colours, and just enough 'milky' water w/out going overboard...

    The amount of 'crumbling rock' bottom right looks a tad off-putting! I hope you weren't perched on it

    Cheers...
    I actively encourage constructive comment & critique of any image I post!
    Feel free to edit & re-post as you see fit - but please - tell me what you have done to 'improve' the shot!

      I was on a viewing point against a fence, overlooking the area, quite a drop a couple of foot infront!

        I like it...Did you take one when the sun was below the horizine?

        There will be times when you will be in the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you can't record it. Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is!

            Coda - Yes, I did take a few more after sunset, but i've yet to do anything with them (busy thinking about a website update today)....note the 'thinking' part ;)

            Thanks Colin, I might try a canvas of this one.

                That's a cracker Stuart ............. I get bad vertigo, so would have to be about 20ft from the edge .......

                  Great shot, love the colours composition and the soft detail on the water.
