    Final walk.

I think, without repeating shots, I have exhausted all my exercise walk photos. So this is the last batch.
Today was our usual walk down to the village a mile from our house, to collect our weekly magazines &; milk. I must admit I took the car 3/4 of the way down our steep hill as my knees hate hills (well steep ones). So was not sure if I should have put this in street or landscape sections, but decided to leave them here.

Our choice in village store, we have two shops.

One of two churches in the village, this is Church of Scotland.

Village hall, which includes the church hall to the right, main hall in the middle &; smaller meeting room on the left.

Atholl Arms Hotel, again one of two, The Tilt Hotel is being refurbished &; a bit of a state at present.

The Watermill Tea Rooms, which should have opened today but the owners decided otherwise, best bread (flour milled on premises & bread baked) in Scotland.

Our wee Country Life Museum, well worth the visit.

To get to the village you can walk down the River Tilt which is a lovely walk.

In the summer brave children jump of the central rock into the river.

    The wishing pool.

Finally the stream off the main river is in fact the mill race leading some half a mile to the watermill.

I like that David, that’s a good set of pictures showing your village and its local area. Not something we’d normally get to see.

David what a great set of your local patch.
You say this is your last walk, now, in one of your previous postings of your daily walks there was a shot of a snow covered hill. Perhaps tomorrow you could just nip along there and get some shots from above the snow line for us all to enjoy - now there's a good lad

Thanks all, Trev I have done 3 Munro's in my lifetime & all of those were 20 years ago. So though I would love to please you, at present that would exceed my hour of exercise, as laid down in government guidelines & I would not want to get arrested by the mountain police. (tried to make that Mounted but it didn't work out).

Nice set...a good insight. Maybe we could all take a set to photographically document our own patch.
              Thanks for making the effort.

Nice set David, that brought back happy memories of family holidays from the dim and distant past when we stayed in the Castle caravan park.

Very nice set of photos from a good looking village.

Have you thought about doing the old building photos in B&W, may look good.
