Nice woodland scene, prefer the colour to B&W
The link you put up is for your Flickr page, which photo are we concerned with the woodland or all of them

I would have taken the woodland shot from in front of the tree that is in the shade to the right, then centred the picture looking central up the path.
The Thistle shot is a bit tight in the frame on the LHS, perhaps if you had taken the shot a bit more from the left.

Hope you are enjoying the lens. It will allow you to experiment with your composition.
The woodland shot has a big dark lump on RHS that your eye slides over.....so you miss 20% of the image.
Either lighten it to highlight its interesting bark or move forward as Trev suggests
Canon EOS R5, R6 plus the usual suspects ......

Agree with previous comments. Try to take it again from in front of that tree and try different focal lengths. Most woodlands shots are better if the sun is fairly low in the sky and the light comes in from the side of the shot. Having said that, I sometimes shoot directly towards the sun, so the shadows of the trees come towards you. If you do that, you need to make sure that the sun is hidden behind a tree or you will get lens flare. Basically, just experiment with different views.
