My second day out with the Bride and my camera

These are from last Fridays trip along Swaledale the up and across the moor to Wensleydale. Another grand day out, I'm getting used to these trips out and picnics in the fresh air.

    #1 Swaledale

#2 A lovely Packhorse Bridge on the Swale, Ivelet Bridge Swaledale.

    Wonderful landscapes Peter.

For such a relatively small country, we have such diverse scenery, with no county the same as the next.

Tom, Ann is actually day on a bench that is on the right hand side of the bridge, I’m only looking on my phone at the moment and I’m not sure that she’s visible on this image.
Normally she would hide but in this occasion the bench was in the sun hence her choosing to catch a few rays whilst I was pretending to be a photographer

Like both of them Peter, is it normal in that area for each field to have a barn in them?

The area has that sort of arrangement David, though this view probably has more than most. I’m not sure of the reason for it though. It is quite close to the village of Gunnerside so it may be that historically each field belonged to a single household. But I could be absolutely wrong with that assumption
