    Tarawera Falls .. New Zealand

    We drove 1.5 hours to Kawerau, which is a small logging town.
    Then drove another hour through bush on privately owned Maori land
    which we had top get a permit for.
    Then hiked for a half hour through bush to get to the falls.
    Here are a few photos from our long but rewarding day!

              Those are great Doug, lovely to see, looks like you had a really good trip. The NZ landscape has a character all of its own and quite unmistakable.

                  Looks a magical place, I can feel the atmosphere especially in number 3

                      Thank you for your encouraging words folks - it means a lot to me that you have taken time out of your busy day to type a few nice words!
                      Lunarbo: I recall that you have visited NZ & agree that it is indeed magical - these falls are spectacular to the point where no photo can really do them justice & the icing on the cake was we were there for about 3.5 hours & only ran into two other couples - Bliss!!
