Fort William with a 10 Stopper

Had a first play with a 10 stop ND couple of weeks back. Seems to be a popular spot given the number of pictures I'd seen of it before. Had the place to myself apart from a few stragglers who were exploring right in the middle of a long exposure....... Always the way eh.

Just before golden hour so an 80 second exposure. Not as sharp as I'd have liked out of camera (me trying to shortcut things) but easily fixed in post.

    Really like the effect though.

Nice image,. Don't worry too much about people in such a long exposure, unless they stand still for quite a while they won't show. I've used this effect to photograph Eilean Donan and not show people on the causeway.

Very nice. I like the position of the boat in the frame.

                      Thanks everyone.

Just as a sidenote when anyone clicks on the individual pictures do they take you to the flickr page for the image? I'm just getting a blank screen when I'd expect to be taken to the hi-res version on my flickr?

Seeing this on everything I've uploaded recently?!?!?!

                        Lovely photo.

I loved it when I went to Fort William twice back in the 1990's when I was doing a lot of climbing.
