Meadfoot Cafe - I can't decide

Here's a couple of shots I took yesterday of a cafe on Meadfoot Beach (Torquay).

Part of me says that the landscape version should be the better of the two as it shows all the cafe:

I suspect the first one really wants to be in a low-contrast B+W, perhaps with a tint.
Note to people who follow my posts... yes that's 99.999% "High Contrast" B+W suggestions and 0.001% for "Low Contrast"...

Portrait version for me John, the curvature of the waterfront gives a more pleasing composition in my opinion.

The first one would make a nice postcard for the owners though.

Thanks guys, I also think the portrait but that may be due to the slightly elevated position so I'll return soon for another shot with a wide lens to recreate the same view but in landscape.

I like both, it looks a lovely spot but my vote goes for the landscape version which for me tells more of a story.
i love the curves in the portrait one but for me the roof of the cafe is just a little distracting.

Portrait for me, the lead-in curve adds so much. I like the landscape, but in comparison with the portrait the blue and white awning dominates and takes away from the more subtle colouring of the beach huts.
