Lovely scene and composition but, and I suspect I may have touched on this before, feel just a touch of processing would make it a cracker.

                Cheers,
                John

The annoying thing is John I love what you do with your shots, but it just isn’t for me. So you must be annoyed with me.

Not in the least Dave. You have a good eye and live in stunning scenery and what your camera captures is but the starting point in the journey to create a great pictureb but you must conduct your hobby as you see it. However, should you ever like me or anyone else on here to spend a few seconds (and it really only needs a few seconds) to sprinkle some digital oofle dust over one of your images you only have to ask (even privately off the forum if you prefer)

                    Cheers,
                    John

John by all means sprinkle some magic on the image above, as I have said I do appreciate your art.

                        Challenge accepted

This one took less than thirty seconds in Lightroom:

Dave's Loch Tay image - Lightroom edit by John Leah, on Flickr

This one just used a preset in Luminar Neo and a touch of polishing and crop in Lightroom:

Dave's Loch Tay image - LuminarNeo edit by John Leah, on Flickr

Both edits limited by the resolution of the jpeg downloaded from Flickr and working with the RAW file would see better results..

                        Cheers,
                        John

A great job John and of course they are much sharper than mine, in your opinion does yours express the dullness of the day compared with mine, after all it is that atmosphere that I was trying to capture. But thanks for the effort, would love to know what anyone else’s opinion is?

I think what John has done is great, and I also admire his own work, he produces some stunning shots. However I feel that the image that David captured portrays the atmosphere better - it’s Scotland as I know it !!!!. Sincerely hope I’ve not offended anyone.
