    Test shots with strip softbox

    Hi All

My son wants me to take some shots of his Porsche 911 that has just been totally refurbished. I decided to do some test shots using a strip softbox on a Bowens Gemini 500. Shots outside our house.

One thing I have already learnt is to make sure the car is spotlessly clean!

I rather like the back light section.

Guess he's going to be busy with the dusters and the polish.

Thanks Di - he will have to be as the type of lighting shows every spec of dust! Regards John

Now I had to read that twice. As I was looking at the pictures I thought What did he do to the 911. Then after rereading, realized it was a test shot. What a relief. BTW John very well done.

You got in before me Tom! I was going to say, that was some refurb. I'd be asking for my money back (as good a car as the Yeti is, it's no 911!)

          Great tests though John,

Thanks Tom - there is an event at Silverstone race circuit on Sunday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of he Porsche 911 - they want to have 911 Porsche 911s on the track at the same time - my son has been asked to take one of his cars as it is a rare example - will post some pics next week - Pleased you like some of the shots - regards John

Re: Test shots with strip softbox

These are good. Did you have an indoor location in mind for the 911 or do you just like the effect of the soft box lighting outdoors.
