    Re: Fun with Balloons

That is really good Paul especially manually triggering. We had a guy at camera club a couple of weeks back using an electronic sound trigger and his shots were not as good as yours

I'd never get away with those at home
me neither, I bet she would not let you do it with paint though

Thanks Stan, she actually suggested doing it with paint but outside I definitely wouldn't get away with it indoors.

I'd never get away with those at home, so would you mind if I popped around to yours next weekend to give it a go?

Well captured Paul, I doubt that I could achieve that sort of coordination to capture an image like that.

I watched that program too, but didn't think of running into my kitchen to pop balloons. Hats off to you for giving it a shot :) Imagine how crazy it would have looked if you cloned out the popped balloon?

The wife suggested cloning out the popped balloon but I thought I would leave it in so people could easily see what it was. Will give it a go when I get in from work

                      Well done.
I hope you know what you've started first there was splash art kits/Smoke images and now water filled balloon popping.

As I said on FB, I cannot stand the thought of more water right now but admire your shots. I also admire the forbearance of your wife: mine would go nuts!!! How much water was there in them? It looks like gallons, but I am sure it was not as much as it looks! I will definitely try when we are in a period that looks more like drought outside!

Richard - each balloon were roughly 4 inches in diameter. As for the wife she just said as long as you clear up the mess then go for it. What I wanted was to fill each balloon with paint or flour but maybe next time when it warmer outside as I don't think I would get away with paint or flour going all over the kitchen
