With several flash on fill the recycle time is almost instant. Would be interesting to see how many are needed for continuous firing on the 5d

That's because the power required from each is very low. You should not actually fire too many pops of the flash as you can burn it out. I think the manual mentions multiple firing is not recommended. that may be at full power - not sure as i never really do that.

Cool thats good to know I don't think I would use it that often just on the odd time I need a bright white background or may be as a snot thanks for the input.

For a white background you may need a couple of lights (depends on what you are lighting) I use 2 studio lights to get an even white background.
