Storm damage- Sri Lanka style! June 2013

Whilst being driven in a Tuk Tuk in Colombo, there was a terrific storm the prvious night,which played havoc with people's properties with roof tiles being blown away, tress being uprooted etc. I was therefore able to see at first hand the damage caused when this tree was uprooted and crashed on to the property in front. All pics taken with my Canon G7 compact set on auto mode.

(iii) How the tree is removed- by a man cutting down all the branches one by one before the tree trunk is carried away.

Good story to the shots Nat which I always like, I think 1 and 3 are the best, particularly 1, it's nice and sharp, good colour too.

Thanks Paul. There is a moral to this story as well- don't attempt to lop branches off without proper safety gear. Don't think our health & safety will allow this
