    Tulips in Holland

Living in the Netherlands for a decade and a half, I never went out to shoot the tulips. No idea why, just never happened. Until now.

Here is one of the images I shot.

A very nice image. Jill and I visited Holland on our motorcycle in April 2007, the temperature reached 30c that weekend. We saw some of the Tulip fields on our way up to Enkhiuzen, quite an amazing sight!

Tulips from Amsterdam- my first impression. Quite deep red but I thought a little too dark- Perhaps my monitor. I have also been to the market where they pack and export Tulips to the wide world.

Nice low view point that makes the image work so well.

Nathaniel, here is another shot to compare the colours. I could call it "dare to be different".

Really like the viewpoint and the shadows of the petals in each of the heads. Like the Saltire in the sky too

I like that. Personally I'd darken the sky a little but the flowers and leaves are great. Incidentally I was in Holland yesterday, but then I work for a Dutch company!
