    Germany- Oberammagau, July 2010

A beautiful village for anyone to visit. World famous for it's Passion play (held every 10 years) and also for it's wood carvings and airpaintings. I attach some images for information and C&C All taken with the 18mm-55mm lens, which I have found to be very good.

    (i) (a) Air paintings-i.e Every other building in this village has got beautiful paintings on their facia, walls etc. Not seen anywhere else.

    (i) (b)

(ii) Facia sculptures in the front of the Passion play theatre

(iii) The packed Theatre which was 5000 strong- same story at every performance. No photography or video recordings allowed and so I could not take any photos.

(iv) The Catholic Parish church in the village. Never have I seen such beautiful work of art.

The lens used for the second batch of photos- wood carvings to be seen in the museum were all taken with my nifty fifty 50mm 1.8 ii. No flash allowed. AV setting. The third pic in this series is titled "children of the wood carvers".
