    Not the pearly gates

I was walking around this church and noticed these doors but from the other side and were open - I thought it would an interesting shot looking down with them nearly closed - got the shot and got told off by some guy in a frock :)

        very nice

its a bit like gardening for macro shots, you got to do what is necessary to get the shot. We did the opposite, closed the doors to get one of the shots inside the church at Chideock

Nice shot and a good story of photographic dedication but beware guys in frocks as they may scratch your eyes out

"Pearly Gates" - You obviously haven't forgotten your Latin Ian. The King's door leading you to the bright light of heaven and the spirits of the dead. Good job you stayed outside!

I'm very disappointed Ian. There was an open door and you didn't go through it. Your starting to slack off as you get older. Soon you'll be posting bird images

                  Nicely done on the image

just hang on a mo - me not go through an open door OH PLEASE I was on the other side of the door, saw it was open, well kinda then opened it and started walking up, I did then get cold feet thinking "ello, are these the golden steps to St Paddy" so stopped turned around then saw the shot, quickly went down and just got the photo whilst the wife is giving me one of those looks " your going to get caught" I was able to escape

so nah...open doors, I walk through them

glad you liked the image Tom & Peter

And Nat trust me "If" St P was waiting he would tell me I went in the wrong direction
