    Little guys

    saw these statues and wanted to process the shot as sunlight was lightening them

    Nice composition and I see what you were trying to do but, even on Flickr, it just that bit too small to make out the detail and colour of the 'little guys'.

      I could have got in closer but I liked the composition showing the full arch and pillars either side - when I return hopefully the end of this year will try another approach

        Getting closer in would have spoiled the good composition and what I really meant was that the image on Flickr is too small to appreciate the detail.

            Judging by the sag in that arch and above it might be best not to wait that long...

              the figures are a bit small but the image has plenty of other detail and shapes going for it

                    Agree peter long lost skilled trades - glad you liked the image, also the staircase which I'll post below was in the same little church so they clearly had some people around with stunning skills.. I've posted this before
