    Very nice

I like trying these kinds of shots but I've never managed to create a decent one. I assume this is actually a number of shots overlaid?

Thanks. I'm still at the level if just doing basic stuff with DPP but plan to upgrade to (probably) LR soon. I see Aurora has a Windows version in the pipeline.

LR does have a HDR feature but I find it a little lacking in features, but its still good

Yes a windows version is due spring next year and a lot of people are waiting for it, its a stunning editor

I think an HDR is a good HDR when it doesn't look like an HDR and this is yet another cracker passing that test well

Do you hand hold these or are you adept at erecting a tripod quickly before being escorted from the premises?

Glad to see Aurora for Windows in coming

            Cheers,
            John

agree John I'm not a fan of over cooked HDR

all my HDR shots are hand held, the only time I would use a tripod would be in light was a problem and then any shot would need a tripod

                you'll love Aurora

                thanks Dave

I guessed they would be. All mine (not that there've been many) have been 3x shot hand held at high speed on the 7D using the anti ghost feature in PS. I've yet to try 5x or even 7x on the 5D but look forward to the opportunity. A thought I've just had while typing this is can multiple shots be taken with the mirror locked up? If so that should further reduce the risk of misaligned images.

                  Cheers,
                  John

I would assume so, but TBH I've never had a problem with aligning shots even ones taken hand held at slow speeds like 1/10

Another good signature image. Just one thing I've noticed that's not on your other images, there seems to be a lighter area around the edge of the sky area.
