First try-out with slow shutter speed @lago di como, italy

Taken from the hotel room on the first floor at night. On your left is lake Como.

For my first attempt I am actually very excited :) Especially that also the markings on the crossing are nicely exposed and not over or under exposed. This is 'more luck than wisdom', which is a popular saying in The Netherlands ;)

No DPP of any kind (yet).

    What do you think?

That's nice. I've always wanted tp try something like this. But I'm not sure how to. (Need to keep reading the maual :) ) I like the mirror sign and the reflection in that also.

I think: very nice... like the streaks of red from the car lights... very nicely caught!

Look forward to some shots from around Lake Como, from what I've seen in other photos there are some marvelous sites.

        Keep it up Rutger!

Good starting shot! I too love the car lights with no actual car!

Once you've worked out your settings, please post so we can all have a go!

Enjoy your holiday (if you're still there!), if you're already home, I hope you had a good time!

        All the best, Mike.

Very nice. The more adventerous you are, the more you can surprise yourself with some good results.

I normally take a small tripod when I travel just for these type of shots. The car streaks can fiil the shot if you go for 30secs @ f16. The trick is to wait until you see a few vehicles close together, then press the shutter just before they come into shot.

              Very nice effort.
I keep meaning to have a go myself.
Will take Colin C's tips with me.....
