Sunset from Battery Park, NYC

    Sunset from Battery Park, NYC

    The wife and I was at Battery Park in NYC as the Sun was setting so I got a couple of images of the Statue of Liberty.

    Tripod used with 7DMKII
    1/800 sec @ f/6.3, ISO 400 @ 400mm (EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM)

        Thanks for looking Ian & Friso, however you need to talk to the man upstairs about the pp as that was what the sky was like at sunset

          Well Tom it is certainly a dramatic sky! Makes for a good silhouette though.

            really !!! man thats red and I would be running for the nearest shelter in fear that "War of the Worlds" wasn't just a film

              Thanks Andrew. That sunset was amazing. It was as if the sky was on fire around the statue. We just happened to be there at the right time.

                        orange, red, pink it ain't a normal looking sky ... but yes its more orange than red, I'm hopeless with colours

                          And this is a Selfie taken 15 min after the 1st image:

                          1/60 sec @ f/4, ISO 400 @ 40mm (EF24-105mm f/4L is usm) flash fired

                          As you can see the red/orange is only around the statue.
