    Nice shots. It looks similar to Gawthorpe Hall in Padiham, though bigger.

      Thanks Bob,......Ill add Gawthorpe to my list to visit.
      Yes it does look similar.... a quick google reveals that Gawthorpe was 'probably' also designed by Robert Smythson.
      One notable feature here is the high area of windows...which were expensive at the time and a symbol of wealth apparently.
