    Staffordshire Coal Mining

    North Staffs has a lot of old coal mines, deep coal mining and drift mining....this particular location is now Apedale Community Country Park.

    That’s a good memorial Brian, without it it would be lost to memory. I assume that this is the location of a mine, Apedale? The last shot is my favourite.

      I’ll have to research....I believe it was part of the Silverdale site....which I think my great grandfather worked at. There is another known as Wedgwood nearby ....I need to piece it altogether.
