    Lundy through the glass.

Looking at an old card I found these from this year.
All are straight out of the camera except number1 where I tweaked the contrast slightly.

It was an interesting 'project' with, to us, familiar sights.

Interesting set. I think the ones which include whatever the ball is standing on work best - the cropped off ones just don't feel right.

I particularly like the very last one where the image in the ball is showing those parts of the scene which are not at all visible in the background.

I'm with El Sid on this one, but a nice set. Did do bit of this myself at one time, still got my Great Aunts Crystal Ball - she saw herself as a fortune teller.
A Great location Lundy, unfortunately not been over since 2018 owing to first the weather then the Pandemic.

Only managed one visit since Lockdown 1 but it had become our annual escape.
We were there in May, going again in December for Christmas.
Hoping for a few feet of snow once we have landed.

Lovely set, my favourite is pic 1.
I’ve thought about purchasing a lens ball previously but have not done anything about it yet.
Any tips regarding quality / size of the lens or use?

              Thank you.

That was a present but not massively expensive, about £15 from amazon.
I used a 100mm f2.8 canon macro lens BUT also got some good results from a 55-250 stm.
              You look at things differently!
I will dig out a few more shots and post them maybe as Lundy 2.

                Thank you for the info.
I have a canon 100mm lens, so maybe I am half way there!

I look forward to seeing some further pics.

Having looked at some of your photos, I'd say your much further down the road than half way!!

It is great to see something quite different and unusual, well done for posting! My favourite is the last pic with the first pic second for the same reasons as El Sid. Looks like you could have quite a bit of fun with this.

                      Thank you.

It made looking at familiar places albeit in a place most people won't visit, unusual.
I had some failures, I was looking forward to the quarry but it just didn't work, but overall I enjoyed playing.
Lundy 2 may be a strong possibility!

An interesting project and a new one for me. Have you thought about flipping the images? It can work quite well with reflections.

Very nice set of photos, really like the colours in some of them.
