Re: Trying out the Macro on the new lens
Thanks Stan I know that it won't give me any where near the results that a dedicated macro lens would but I'm fairly happy and can't wait til the dragonfly's come out again1Dmk2, Canon 70-200 f4 L Non-IS & a borrowed canon 28mm

Re: Trying out the Macro on the new lens
Thanks Colin I will bear that in mind that is a great idea.
Stan with the lens set at macro I will only be taking shots of dragonflies while they are resting or butterflies as well.
One thing is for sure with lens I need loads of light so if anyone can have a word with him upstairs about some more bright days I would be grateful that said though these are the tools I have so will happily use them as best I can.1Dmk2, Canon 70-200 f4 L Non-IS & a borrowed canon 28mm

Re: Trying out the Macro on the new lens
Macro work fascinates me. It's a world we rarely encounter. Good result there Paul.Fuji X-T1 | 1D IV

Re: Trying out the Macro on the new lens
Came back to add, that I took my first ever dragonfly shot with my 55-250 and you could always consider adding some extension tubes at a later date.Last edited by DeeGee; 22-01-2014, 18:54.Di ~ Trying to take "the" photograph.
