Reversed Nifty Fifty fitted on a G11 - dragonfly exuvia (basically a wrapper for the first 12-18 months when it lives underwater before emerging and changing into a dragonfly) - bit of tabletop work to see how close I could go - all images are full frame e.g. no crop...

Photo of the kit - G11 fitted with an adapter tube mounted with a Raynox DCR 250 +8 dioptre close up lens (note this has been removed from its adaptor fitting and mounted on the tube with stepping down rings from 58mm to 43mm), on the front is mounted the Canon 50mm f1.8 reversed. Flash was off camera, controlled by off-camera cable, fitted to a reversed Custom Bracket RC, Canon 580EX fitted with a Gary Fong Whale Tail diffuser main flash was set in Master mode, a second 550EX was also used as a slave. Also in the picture is a Hoodman Loupe used to confirm focus. Plus of course the box of photo models...
