I love the periwinkle - I think a black (or dark green) card behind it would have improved it by losing the eye catching yellow flower
Try a touch of flash as well (-2 flash exp compensation) as this lifts the coloursef-r -

Had a walk down the garden to see what the yellow was... it's actually light coming off some glossy leaves.
Going to look at carrying some black cloth or similar to put behind flowers when out.
