    Sparrowhawk 1-0 LBB

I struggled as to where to post this image, it isn't macro or suitable for the bird section but hopefully it could be considered as close up.

Whilst I didn't see the plucking I suspect this is the remains of a capture by a Sparrowhawk, not sure what it caught either though it was a Little Brown Bird (LBB), possibly a Sparrow or a Dunnock, both of which do reside in and around our garden.

An alternative title might be ‘dinner leftovers’!

You can always tell who done the deed, if the feathers are plucked clean out - Sparrowhawk. If the seem to have been chewed - Fox. You should have collected the feathers up there are people on here who use them for fishing

Trev the feathers had been plucked clean out with nothing else but feathers left behind. I haven’t spotted the Sparrowhawk recently. But it’s obviously still on patrol as evidenced by these feathers.
