    Curves

A small section of one of the airlocks on my home-brew cider which is bubbling in the kitchen - complete with a bit of spider web! Note how the curved front face of the bubble has progressed well beyond the lowest point of the airlock tube, but has been held back from breaking through and releasing the pent-up CO2 from the brewing process by surface tension.
The vertical extent of the image is 2".

Produced for submission in another place.

Great shot John, just waiting for that familiar plop as it breaks free. Trev it would be worth going to Johns as the best cider comes from Somerset. Spent many an hour going to Winscombe to top up my supply.

David, Somerset Cider, tis alright for you up-market sort but down yer in Devon us like the proper stuff - Scrumpy. Nort like glass of scrumpy, drop of rum and a lump of ginger in it, then warmed up with red hot poker from the fire.

Trev, should you ever be in the Bristol area you would be most welcome to pop in and try a drop of Park Farm Paralyser - bring a driver though, 'cos it starts at 7% ABV.
