    Unwanted guests

After taking a series of stacked images of a small cloud forest orchid, while editing I discovered the tip of the flower spike was infested with tiny green fly. The flowers grow out to just over 5 mm in diameter, which shows just how small these bugs are.The first image was taken after the bugs were removed. The second image is just the tip of the flower spike at full resolution.

That is an amazing image and detail; I’m glad the green fly were banished.
