I have been most impressed by the Video capabilities of the 7D, mostly shooting short clips, so using the Power Director 8 software, I decided to piece together a short movie made up of clips and stills of the Monte Carlo Glasgow Start 2013, everything was done hand held, so can be a bit shaky in places, no enhancement software is used.
The Monte Carlo Starts in Glasgow have had a long history going back to 1924, with gaps where the Rally was cancelled due to the War & Suez Crisis, many more were held there from 1949 onwards. The latest revival of Glasgow Starts was re-introduced in 2011.
The main theme of the Movie was to feature one of my Car Club friends...83 year old Tommy Bryson, Tommy as a young Mechanic took part in the 1954 Rally and so was invited to be first Car off the line in the 2013 Event, obviously only doing a short part of the route. Tommy's current Car is the featured 85 year old 12HP, 1928 Citroen B 14G and is fondly known as 'Isabella'. Footage was shot in Buchanan St Glasgow and The Peoples Palace at Glasgow Green.
