What methods of sound recording is best?
On camera the sound is awful. I am picking up what sounds like shutter noise.

Not through anything I have tried, but the EOS shop has the Hama Stereo Directional Microphone ref: R322 at £39.99 and everything I have seen in the EOS shop is quality kit. That would be my first port of call.
