    Brown Hare

I self isolated yesterday -- in a ditch at one of my two Hare sites. In the hope that I may get some boxing shot, but it was not to be, although an interesting few hours.
I had one hare a short distance from me laying low in the grass, I then had the one below come racing down the field, it had obviously seen it.

It stopped some twenty yards in front of me, reared up on it back legs and kept looking away from me the whole time. One eye on the hare in the grass.

After about five minutes it went down and adopted the position below, but still watching with one eye, before running back up the field. The Hare in the grass still there and taking no notice - I assume it was a female. I can only assume this is part of a courtship display -- but only one was taking part

Excellent set Trev, I found out why my Hares are missing, two bits of scum were in court for coursing during the early winter, hope they throw the book at them.

Lovely images Trev - you are fortunate to have the opportunity to see them - somewhat uncommon round by us.

Excellent set Trev. You're fortunate to be able to get out. Where I live everything is now closed, so will be catching up on editing etc.
