Deep In Thought.

Posting a photograph for the first time in a year and it's taken me over 30 mins of trial and error to get the pic to show. Combination of a change in the method and me being a year older.
This is a lowland gorilla taken at Howletts animal park, near Canterbury. Gorillas are one of the animals where at Howletts, it's pretty much impossible to get a natural looking shot, so had to concentrate on just the face.

Thanks for all the comments. It actually came out better than I expected as I was shooting through heavy mesh and at an angle. Looking at the original again, I'm now wondering if a wider crop would be better. I chose the previous crop to suit a frame size for printing.

Thanks Paul and Lee. The second shot is just the 'as taken' version of the first one, to show the difficulty of getting a natural looking shot due to the surroundings.
I did try a wider version of the first one but it didn't look right due to the light coming in from the side.
