    Adder

Unfortunately I was on my own when I took this shot, hence the rather unsightly bit of dead grass. Had my wife been with me she could have removed it

Brian, We tried it once, let groups in, Bird watchers, Photo Groups etc. You would not believe the problems we had, place used as a toilet, stuff cut down, last straw was when two photographers dug the top of the Spoil Heap off and moved a log in front of the badger sett so they could get better shots -- they called themselves 'Wildlife Photographers' no concerns whatsoever for the creatures.

Great capture, I can't get out to find any yet this year, we don't have them round our village.

Thanks - not common now by any means. Even on the heathland you can consider it your lucky day if you see one

Completely agree. The relative low costs of digital photography has spawned a lot of photographers who have no real interest in the welfare of the wildlife, just want to get their shot. Just go to Farne Isles or Richmond Park to see what I mean.
