    An easy Kingfisher shot

These little fellows make for a colourful shot, and are are quite obliging sometimes, by sitting quite still and posing for you. Danny.

A nice pose on the wire but the first one is really oversharpened, quite a thick halo around both the bird and the perch

I seem to recall you managed a couple of shots at Slimbridge.

Yes the second is a really natural shot with natural colours whereas the first apperas a little unreal.

                      Re: An easy Kingfisher shot

Looks much better and more natural colour, although KF's do come in many different shades depending on the direction of the light

I always sharpen on a seperate layer, particularly when I am resizing for a forum post, so that if any halos appear they can easily be masked out

Now it's getting colder even the kingfisher fills the cold, as he came and sat on the post then he puffed himself out, reminded me of the sheepskin chaps the old cowboys in saturday morning pictures. Danny

They're all very pretty shots but this is more my type of picture, have got a few near misses, but just wait one day I'll get him. Danny
