    Found male kestrel on one of his favourite perches close to the nest, couple of different angles

    Whilst waiting for bit better light the wood pigeons were doing handover. Image not fantastic but you can just make out chick in nest

                  Fairly cold in the mornings at the moment and male was on perch trying to catch early morning sun but this time with his back to me

                        Guess like lots of other parts of the country we've had awful weather overnight.

                        Kestrel no where to be seen but at least nest not at risk from rain and female tucked well down, same can't be said for the wood pigeon who looked quite wet, hopefully the chick has been kept dry. The stream/river was very high there were no rocks visible for the dipper to use so don't expect to see him/her till things quiet down a bit.
