Taken through my kitchen window(open) hand held using a 500D.Taken in RAW and just sharpened and cropped.
EFS 55-250 at 220, F8 at 1/400, ISO400.

I don't have an acceptable shot of woodpeckers and envy those that do.

Thank you for your reply. I am having difficulty in posting the photo on the forum and I am trying to link to my album in picasaweb. I am not sure if it will work and if it doesn't I would appreciate some advice

What you have there Westlyn, are two brothers, or two sisters, or one of each, both are juvenile from the same family.

Thank you for correcting my identification. We have four woodpeckers using the post and consuming our fat and I will try to photograph the parents.

I am still unable to insert a photo on the forum and end up with a thumbnail. Can you advise how I can get the photo to display as it is achieved with most of the posts on this forum.
