    Juvenile Green Woodpecker

    Had a very welcome visitor to the back garden yesterday afternoon, they have bred in the woods behind our house and are always around calling noisily but did not expect to see one of the juveniles this close to the house.Photo taken from the kitchen window.

        yes, a lovely shot and consider yourself lucky, the one that I know lives near me must go on holiday when I try to see it

          I see these regular , but am pretty much always seen first , think they`re a cracking bird . Think you got the composition spot on with your lucky visitor .
