        Bit different, on the Stour I assume. Try and look in again next week when I'm up that way

          this one was on Sunday, river high again so he had decided to fish from the outflow wall where all the fish seemed to be gathering.

          There has been some good activity again with new perches and the river quite low again. There are also another 2 pairs nesting further down river towards and past the Kingfisher Barn (both on the other side of the river) and a pair of great spotted woodpeckers hollowing out a hole in a tree close to the path

              looks like he's been doing a bit of gardening
              first time i had seen him with mud on the beak, can only assume that on the occasions a dive did not result in a fish he hit the mud at the bottom
