Hen Pheasant

I live in an area where there are several large Pheasant shoots. The more intelligent of these creatures have moved out of the shooting area and into my garden where they look upon me as the provider of food - I put down a two pound jam jar full of seed each morning for them. I now have about eighteen running around the place, The local fox does take the odd one, which they soon seem to replace. Before anyone suggest it - No, it would not be good news to tell Mrs B there's a brace of Pheasant's in the oven for dinner tonight.

Attractive looking bird's, well taken & I suppose they are okay wondering around larger gardens such as yours. But when you have a small patch & the wife complains her flowers are being dug up, then a gun is the only thing I shoot them with. Had my 7th bird this week, very tasty.
