    Short Eared Owl

It has been awhile since i posted to this forum what with the forum update and being elsewhere. I have checked in regularly to see what is going on. But just keeping up on Flickr takes much of my spare time.

This is more of a test to see if i can still work out how to upload an image.

This is the time of the year when i spend a lot of time trying to capture Short Eared Owls or over wintering Ducks and Geese. Here is a capture of a Shortie quartering the field looking for its next meal.

There are more owl images on my Flickr.

A stunning image Glenn. I assume that if this wasn't a test you would have cloned out the blade of grass.

Hi Brian, " I assume that if this wasn't a test you would have cloned out the blade of grass."

No doubt pixel peepers and Judges would hate the grass. But no i wouldn't have cloned out the grass, to me it is part of the grassy/scubland environment. Test or not.

But thank you very much for taking the time to comment.

Beautiful shot Glenn. There are some locally to me, but I keep missing them. Must try harder.
