Short Eared Owl

In spite of the appalling weather and total lack of light, I needed to do some photography and decided to try the "shorty". After many hours of nothing and getting close to the stage where I was going to pack up, a shorty came out to hunt. He didn't make it easy though and stayed a fair way away, but I managed some shots.
