    Kestrel Update 29-05-2020

Chicks developing fast and lots of movement in the nest. Hard to believe there are 5 chicks of this size in the nest from this image.

You can see difference between probably the youngest chick and one of the oldest

Male brought a bird (seems to have a knack of getting these), looks like a fledgling. He just dropped it in the nest but as you can see the chicks are starting to feed themselves. Also note all 5 chicks seem to be doing well
Kestrel 2020-155 by tblake2007, on Flickr

Couldn't identify the prey but chicks made short work of devouring it

This pigeon tried a couple of times to land in the nest, it got a hostile reception from the chick

That pigeon is obviously unaware that one of its pals lost its head

Thanks for the update Ant, the chicks seem to be doing well

The chicks are almost the size of the male. Pigeon must be looking for it's mate.

Terrific update Ant, keep them coming. What are we all going to do when the chicks fledge?

Should be another 2-3 weeks before the chicks fledge. But yes as usual I'll miss the project.
